I’m David Whatley, a game developer with over 36 years of experience in the industry. I’ve had the chance to wear many hats—from founder and CEO of Simutronics Corp and Critical Thought Games to hands-on coder, designer, and team builder. My journey has taken me from creating the first online 3D action game to shipping titles like SIEGE: World War II and GALAHAD 3093. Whether it’s crafting immersive narratives in text-based adventures or pushing the boundaries of 3D graphics and gameplay, I’m passionate about building games that leave a mark.

I’m a coding polyglot who’s most at home with C# and Unity, but my expertise doesn’t stop there. I’ve designed custom game engines, developed innovative tools, and embraced everything from shaders to AI, backend systems to player-driven content creation. I thrive on tackling new challenges and am constantly learning, evolving, and refining my craft. For me, game development isn’t just a career; it’s an adventure that I’m always eager to continue.
